At the upper elevations isolated areas of unstable snow persist on very steep northerly aspects underlain by an October crust. These areas should be avoided as some potential remains for dense slabs up to two feet in depth to be triggered by humans. Snow depths at the mid elevations thin towards the lower elevations where the ground is mostly bare.

A moist, west-northwesterly flow aloft is forecasted to move over the region on Sunday bringing increasing mid-level clouds, along with a slight chance of flurries to the mountains. Westerly ridgetop winds should vary from 15 to 20 mile per hour. Mountain temperatures are expected to dip into the teens overnight before rising to near 20 on Sunday. The valley should see lows in the single digits, then rebound into the upper 20s later in the day. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW. Backcountry travelers should avoid steep, upper-elevation, northerly aspects where isolated pockets of dense slab up to two feet in depth lie upon old, October snow.
