Currently there are quite favourable conditions generally. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large loads in isolated cases. In particular on steep shady slopes they can be released in deep layers of the snowpack. The avalanche prone locations are rare but are barely recognisable, even to the trained eye. There is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. The natural avalanche activity has appreciably decreased. As a consequence of solar radiation small moist and wet avalanches are possible below approximately 2500 m.

Field observations show good snowpack stability. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. Faceted weak layers exist in the old snowpack especially on steep northeast, north and northwest facing slopes. In all regions in all altitude zones only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

The avalanche danger will persist.
