As a consequence of new snow and a strong to storm force northeasterly wind, sometimes large wind slabs formed by the evening in particular in places that are protected from the wind. High-altitude starting zones have been replenished further quickly. In all aspects medium-sized slab avalanches are possible. In particular on wind-loaded slopes the avalanches can be released in deep layers of the snowpack and reach large size.

The old snowpack is moist. The wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence. The solar radiation will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack in some cases at low altitude.
