Kernpunkte
Recent new snow and strong predominantly west to northwest winds at high elevations have created the potential for slabs to 18 inches in depth on steep lee slopes. Significant settling has helped to stabilize the underlying snow but the possiblity remains of triggering deeper pockets on steep slopes or cliff areas at all elevations. On Sunday a skier was buried four feet deep just above Bradley Lake in Grand Teton National Park in a slide on an easterly aspect at 7300 feet that ran on a buried surface hoar layer.(He was recovered uninjured but a bit blue in just five minutes, a skilled, practiced partner was essential in his survival)
