Kernpunkte

The overall avalanche danger is generally LOW today. Wind drifting the new snow most likely formed some drifts along the upper ridgelines that may be sensitive to a person. These won't be all that large but may be enough to crack out and take a skier by surprise. I'm guessing they won't pose much threat to a person on a snowmobile but just be aware of them and look for signs for how sensitive they might be.

Snow and Weather

A weak cold front moved through overnight bringing a few inches of snow to the Skyline. Northwest wind picked up in speed a bit with somewhat gusty ridgetop conditions. Temperatures dropped to around 20.

We'll see mostly cloudy skies today and through the weekend with colder temperatures and periods of light snowfall possibly adding a few inches here and there. It's possible things will clear out Sunday afternoon.
