The wind slabs can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads, in particular on northwest to northeast to southeast facing aspects. Caution is to be exercised adjacent to ridgelines in particular above approximately 2500 m at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, when entering gullies and bowls for example. Weak layers in the lower part of the snowpack can be released in isolated cases and mostly by large additional loads in particular in shady places that are protected from the wind.

As a consequence of rising temperatures and rain up to high altitudes the snowpack settled at the weekend. As a consequence of falling temperatures a crust formed on the surface during the last three days. In particular above approximately 2500 m: Snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. At intermediate and high altitudes mostly small wind slabs formed. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack especially on steep west, north and east facing slopes.
