Avalanche Activity

NC 11.01 Avalanches likely on NW through N to E aspects above 950m, more localised below 950m. Cornices! Considerable Hazard.

Areas particularly affected will be gully tops, corrie rims, crag aprons and the leeward side of ridge crests, where avalanches are likely. Cornices will continue to build on these aspects. Below 950 meters, on the same aspects, localised windslab will develop in wind sheltered locations, such as shallow gullies and steep banks. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.
