Approximately 6" - 10" of new snow has fallen in the Blues during this most recent storm cycle that we are currently experiencing and another 2"-4" is forecasted for today as well. Also, winds last night and today were forecasted to be strong out out of the west. Therefore, expect windslab formation on upper elevation leeward facing north, northeast, east, and southeast facing terrain. These potentially thick windslabs could be poorly bonded to the firm crusty snow they rest upon. It is likely that a rider could trigger an avalanche on this terrain where slope angle exceeds 30 degrees. With an abundance of of good riding opportunities on lower angle terrain, it is advised that recreationalists stick to those lower angle slopes to be safe.
