Kernpunkte
The snowpack is mostly stable. Gusty northwest winds are forming small pockets of new wind slab up to a foot in depth. A human who triggers one of these slabs in very steep terrain could get knocked over and carried down a steep chute or over a cliff band. Watch out for unstable snow on isolated terrain features
Avalanche Discussion
Light snow is taper off by 9 pm, followed by periods of light snow or flurries until 4am. Mostly clear skies are expected by sunrise. Temperatures are to drop to near zero overnight, with highs on Tuesday in the mid to upper teens. Winds during the day are to be westerly with 10 to 15 mph averages. The general avalanche danger will be Low on Tuesday. The new snowfall and winds have formed small soft slabs that could be triggered on isolated terrain features, particularly at higher elevations where the greater snowfall amounts were affected by the strongest winds. Remember that low hazard does not mean no hazard and small avalanches can still knock people over and carry them over rugged terrain or down long confined paths like couloirs.
