In all aspects medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large slab avalanches are possible. In particular in the regions with a lot of snow the avalanches can penetrate even deep layers. As a consequence of solar radiation a very precarious avalanche situation will be encountered in some regions.

A lot of snow has fallen over a wide area. In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on a moist old snowpack. The high temperatures as the day progresses will give rise to rapid moistening of the snowpack on steep sunny slopes.
