Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will remain generally stable with the odd surface instability on the steepest slopes. Any surviving corniced areas will remain suspect. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: It will remain dry, calm and settled overnight and on Wednesday. The freezing level will be around 1000 to 1200 metres. Variable winds will be light to moderate. Observed Weather Influences: Wet and mild overnight conditions affected the area. Today was mainly dry with spells of sunshine developing later. The freezing level today is around 1100 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Overnight mild and wet conditions have further reduced the snowpack, greatest accumulations are in the higher Northerly and Easterly corries. The snowpack is soft, moist and is generally stable. Corniced areas remain suspect. The avalanche hazard is Low.
