At the higher elevations pockets of soft surface slab up to 18 inches in depth could be human triggered in steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones. Some potential also remains for deep hard slabs with depths to 40 inches to be human triggered in isolated areas. These hard slabs are most likely to be found on very steep avalanche prone slopes that face the north half of the compass and have not seen much traffic during the season. Some potential may also exist for very large avalanches to be triggered by snow machines in extreme terrain like the east face of Lava Mountain. Warming temperatures will increase the sensitivity of these slabs to release by human triggers.
