The newly formed wind drifts and slabs from the weekend storm continue to settle and stabilize. They continue to get more stubborn and non-reactive to humans. That said, if you are going to find trouble today it will involve an area where wind drifts and slabs are present. As the wind increases today, some fresh drifts may form as well.

Snow and Weather

Current Conditions: Riding conditions remained quite good again on Wednesday although the daytime heating is taking a toll on the cold powder. Temperatures were up around 30˚F or a bit warmer on Wedenesday and dropped back into the low to mid 20s. Wind from the southwest has been light to moderate in speed. It is quite slow this morning.

Mountain Weather: Expect clouds, high temperatures in the upper 20s and light wind from the west switching around coming from the north and increasing in speed a bit this afternoon. We may see some light snowfall late in the day with no real accumulation expected. The weather starts to clear out Friday and especially Saturday with temperatures well into the 30s. The next decent looking storm isn't until mid week next week.
