The snow surface should be frozen this morning but it's probably a pretty superficial freeze since we had pretty warm overnight temperatures. Get on it early. You'll want to start avoiding steep slopes as the snow gets really wet and sloppy. If you're punching through deeper into the snow, it's becoming unstable. Avoid being in steep walled gullies and ravines as the snow becomes wet. Timing is everything in the Spring. Avalanche conditions are mostly stable in the morning and get more unstable later on with daytime heating.
Wet avalanches usually don't pose much threat to people on the Skyline. I'm not expecting much trouble today. That said, pay attention out there and don't let your avalanche guard down.
