Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. Still, it's a good idea to steer clear of stiff or hollow-sounding pockets of drifted snow on steep slopes above treeline. This is especially true in rocky or extreme terrain, where the consequences of a small slide or fall could be magnified by what is below you.
