The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above an elevation of 9,000 feet and LOW below that elevation. At the upper elevations humans who venture into steep, north facing avalanche terrain could trigger slab avalanches up to two feet in depth that are poorly bonded to buried old snow surfaces. Avalanche are unlikely below an elevation of 9,000 or on south facing slopes at the upper elevations.
Pockets of slab, up to two feet in depth, could be human triggered on very steep north facing slopes above an elevation of 9,000 feet.
