Forecast Snow Stability: Stability will be generally good in the existing snowpack which will freeze overnight and then soften on all but the highest slopes during the day. Any fresh windslab accumulations during the day are expected to be isolated and shallow with North to East aspects above 1200 metres most affected. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Strong South-Easterly winds. A cold dry night followed by showers falling as snow only on the highest summits as the freezing level rises to just above summit level. Observed Weather Influences: It was a wet day with strong Southerly winds. The freezing level was above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: Wet snow instabilities are present in the fresh snow from yesterday afternoon and evening which mainly lies on North to East aspects above 900 metres. The older snowpack is generally well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
