Kernpunkte

In some cases the various wind slabs have bonded still only poorly with the old snowpack. The number and size of avalanche prone locations will increase with altitude.

Lawinenprobleme

  • Wind slab

    • Above 2,200 m

Snowpack Structure

In particular at intermediate and high altitudes further wind slabs formed. The strong wind has transported the new snow significantly. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be quite good. Less snow than usual is lying. The old snowpack will be moist, also in all aspects below approximately 2700 m. Above the tree line snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.

Avalanche Activity

In some cases the various wind slabs have bonded still only poorly with the old snowpack. The number and size of avalanche prone locations will increase with altitude.

The more recent wind slabs are in some cases prone to triggering. They can be released easily. or in isolated cases naturally, in all aspects at intermediate and high altitudes. In particular adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects small and medium-sized dry avalanches are possible. In particular in steep rocky terrain small to medium-sized moist avalanches are possible.
