Forecast Snow Stability: Surface layers of the patchy snow will initially be firm, gradually softening later in the day. Greatest amounts of snow will be found in high North to East facing corries above 900 metres and around the higher Cairngorm summits. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Cold overnight with the freezing level rising above the summits during the morning. Generally dry with only very light snow showers due. Fresh winds throughout, initially from the West but backing throughput the day to the South. Observed Weather Influences: A mild day, generally dry with the occasional shower. Winds were fresh from the South-West. ObservedSnowStability: The patchy snow is soft but well bonded and stable. Greatest amounts are found in high North to East facing corries above 900 metres and around the higher Cairngorm tops. The avalanche hazard is Low.
