Kernpunkte

At elevated altitudes a dangerous avalanche situation will persist in some regions. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack in particular on north, northeast and northwest facing slopes. They must be evaluated with care and prudence in particular on steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes. In particular at low and intermediate altitudes and on steep sunny slopes more mostly small moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation.

Snowpack Structure

Weak layers exist in the old snowpack in particular on shady slopes. They remain for the foreseeable future prone to triggering in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2200 m. The surface of the snowpack is frozen, but not to a significant depth and will soften during the day.
