Forecast Snow Stability: Snowfall and drifting deposits will continue to form unstable windslab in wind sheltered locations on South-West to North-West aspects above 900 metres, with moderately bonded accumulations below this altitude. Moderately bonded windslab will also be present on North and South aspects, due to both existing and newly developing accumulations. Fragile cornices will continue to form. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Observed Weather Influences: Overnight snowfall above 700m, lighter during the day falling to 450 metres. Strong Easterly winds. Freezing level around 700 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Snowfall and drifting have formed moderate to weakly bonded windslab in wind sheltered locations on South-West through West to North aspects above 900 metres. Localised areas of moderately bonded windslab are present on these aspects, below 900 metres and above 700 metres. Fragile cornices are forming. Wind exposed slopes are scoured and icy. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
