Salt River and Wyoming Ranges

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. About 20 inches of new snow has fallen at the higher elevations since Tuesday. Soft surface slabs up to two feet in depth formed by southwest winds exist. These slabs could be human triggered in steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones. With abundant sunshine in the forecast the potential for these slabs to be triggered and for loose snow sluffs to occur on steep sunlit aspects will increase as the day warms.
