The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW. The snowpack above 7,500 feet, which is comprised of faceted snow and a variety of crusts in the process of decomposing, is mostly stable. Avalanches are unlikely today. However, caution is advised in cliff areas and in steep couloirs.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )A low pressure system over the Pacific Northwest will move through the region on Friday bringing increased cloud cover, northwest ridge top winds at 5 to 15 miles per hour, and a trace to an inch of new snow. Mountain temperatures will rise into the mid 20s as the valley climbs into the mid 30s.The general avalanche hazard is expected to remain LOW. Avalanches are unlikely. However, caution is advised in cliff areas and steep couloirs.
