Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are generally safe from avalanches. Watch for small, isolated pockets of stiff, wind-drifted snow that sound hollow or appear thin. You will most likely find these just below ridgelines and near gullies or couloirs. If you see shooting cracks or feel collapsing, you can easily manage these isolated pockets by moving to slopes less than about 35 degrees.
