A southerly flow continues to bring warm air to the area. Air temperatures in the mountains rose into the mid 40s and 50s yesterday and have been above freezing since Tuesday afternoon. The warm temperatures have created dangerous, unstable conditions on steep snow covered terrain. Wet loose and wet slab avalanches should be expected and could be large and destructive. Cornice failures should also be expected and could trigger large wet snow avalanches.
