As a consequence of snowfall and the strong northwesterly wind, the snow drift accumulations will increase in size from early morning. Even emptied starting zones will be replenished as a consequence of snowfall and wind. Here medium-sized and large natural dry avalanches are possible. In the typical avalanche paths the avalanches can as before reach very large size and in isolated cases endanger transportation routes that are exposed. More powder avalanches are possible. The conditions are treacherous for backcountry touring and other off-piste activities outside marked and open pistes. Single winter sport participants can release avalanches, including large ones.

Over a wide area 50 to 80 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since Sunday above approximately 1500 m. Over a wide area 30 to 40 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall until the evening above approximately 1800 m. The wind will be strong over a wide area. The snowpack is unfavourably layered. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Some large and, in isolated cases, very large powder avalanches have been released on Tuesday.

The danger of natural avalanches will decrease.
