At the upper elevations isolated pockets of shallow wind slab up to a foot deep could be triggered by ski mountaineers or climbers who venture into steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. These shallow surface slabs could knock a person over and are capable of carrying them over a cliff or down very steep slopes. Avalanches are unlikely at the mid and lower elevations.

High pressure will slowly begin to break down Sunday as a system off the coast begins to affect the region. Morning mountain temperatures will be in the teens then warm to the mid 20s. Winds will change Saturday night to southwesterly by Sunday morning and increase to 15 miles per hour by evening. Valley inversions will hold. Skies will become increasingly cloudy through the day.The general avalanche hazard will be LOW at all elevations. The snowpack is mostly stable and avalanche are unlikely. The exception could be isolated pockets on very steep terrain at upper elevations. Always use good travel practices in avalanche terrain.
