( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. ) Temperatures in the mountains will fall into the single digits overnight. On Wednesday it will be mostly cloudy with periods of light snowfall. Temperatures at 9,000 feet will be in the teens to low 20s. Winds will back towards the southwest at 5 to 15 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW. Avalanches are unlikely except at the higher elevations in very steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones. Humans who venture into these areas could trigger isolated pockets of surface slab six to 12 inches deep.
