Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche where you find smooth, firm, bulbous pillows of snow at upper elevations. These may feel drum-like and crack beneath you. You are most likely to find them beneath ridgelines and cross-loaded gullies. If you avoid these pillows, you will reduce your hazard. Even small avalanches in steep and cliffy terrain can be dangerous. If you observe cracking in the surface snow, look for safer riding at lower elevations protected from drifting snow.

Clouds and wind will help cool the snow tomorrow, but you can expect some of the recent storm snow to shed as temperatures break freezing. Rollerballs and point-releases are signs the snow is getting wet. Avoid traveling on or below steep, rocky slopes tomorrow afternoon if the snow is wet.
