Kernpunkte
The snowpack is mostly stable this morning, and avalanches are unlikely. Temperatures remained above freezing overnight at the lower elevations, and small wet slides could become possible as the day warms, especially if mostly sunny skies prevail in the afternoon. Avoid steep terrain where wet, unconsolidated snow is unsupportable.
Avalanche Discussion
It will be dry tonight. On Monday another weak system will bring a few inches of new snow to the higher elevations in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be in the upper teens and 20s in the mountains and in the 20’s to upper 30’s in the valleys where rain showers may mix with snow below an elevation of 6,500 feet. Winds will be from the southwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour. The snowpack is mostly stable. The general avalanche hazard is forecast to be low.
