Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will become firm overnight before softening during the day and it will remain well bonded and stable throughout. The most widespread snowfields will be around coire back walls and the plateau above 1000 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: It is expected to be dry throughout the forecast period with moderate South-South-Easterly winds increasing to to very strong during the day. Summit temperatures dipping to around minus 2C during the night, before rising to above the summits by midday. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with long spells of sunshine and light South-Easterly winds. The freezing level rose to above the summits by midday. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded and stable throughout, softening on sun exposed slopes, and firm on shaded Northerly aspects. The most widespread snow fields are around coire back walls and the plateau above 1000 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
