Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in isolated cases especially on very steep shady slopes. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large loads, but they will be small in most cases.

The snowpack remains generally well bonded. The weather conditions will give rise to gradual consolidation of the snowpack. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep shady slopes at high altitude and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack.
