Avalanche Activity

Above approximately 1500 m snow will fall over a wide area. As a consequence of the precipitation, the likelihood of small and medium sized avalanches being released will increase.

As the day progresses the likelihood of avalanches being released will increase gradually in all aspects. On steep shady slopes and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized avalanches are possible as a consequence of the precipitation. Avalanches can be released in near-surface layers of the snowpack and reach medium size.

Snowpack Structure

Some rain will fall over a wide area. These weather conditions will cause a gradual weakening of the snowpack. The new snow is bonding poorly with the old snowpack in some places and generally at elevated altitudes.

Tendency

Some snow will fall in some regions.
