Avalanche activity will be unlikely on Monday. Continued cold, dry weather means that I don't anticipate the avalanches that we would associate with stormy weather, nor do I expect those that we might associate with melting. Continue to use safe travel techniques like riding slopes one at a time in case you encounter isolated pockets of instability.
Avalanche Discussion
Sunday night and Monday will be the "peak" of our deep Northerly flow (cold, dry weather). As such, the avalanche danger will remain static and avalanches large enough to bury or injure a rider would be surprising. Variable riding conditions might be the greater hazard. There is the full spectrum of surface snow conditions out there! If we can put aside our longing for deep powder turns (which is very hard, I know!) the current weather and snow conditions have made for some good scenic, high mountain touring.
