Gradual decrease in danger of moist and wet avalanches as the temperature drops. Only isolated avalanches are possible as the day progresses. In the event of solar radiation this applies in particular on rocky slopes. The wind slabs of last week can still be released in some cases above approximately 2500 m.
The snowpack consists of rounded crystals. This applies in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. In the last few days numerous small and medium-sized avalanches were observed. At intermediate and high altitudes there is more snow than usual.
