The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field. In particular in the regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 2 (moderate) and along the border with Switzerland 2 to 10 cm of snow will fall until the early morning above approximately 2200 m. The wind will be strong. Wind slabs are to be found especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as at high altitudes and in the high Alpine regions. They are mostly small and can only be released in isolated cases. These avalanche prone locations are to be found on extremely steep slopes. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

In all aspects snow depths vary greatly above approximately 2200 m, depending on the infuence of the wind. On sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m hardly any snow is lying. The snowpack is largely stable. It is not distinctly layered. Shady slopes: The snowpack consists of faceted crystals and has faceted crystals on the surface. Below approximately 2000 m: As a consequence of rain a crust formed on the surface.
