Forecast Snow Stability: A little new windslab will be deposited in wind sheltered areas, mainly on North-East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. Accumulations are not expected to be significant. During the afternoon as precipitation turns to rain at all levels minor surface wet snow instabilities are possible on steep slopes. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be mainly Westerly, moderate to strong overnight and during the morning, then strengthening through the afternoon. Some light snow showers above about 600 metres are expected overnight, then dry during the day until late afternoon when some light precipitation will turn to rain at all levels. The freezing level will be around 600 metres until the afternoon during which it will rise above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day, with light to moderate generally West-South-West winds. The freezing level was around 800 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snowpack continues to stabilise in all locations. Greatest accumulations are on South-East to South aspects above 600 metres, with deposits also present in sheltered gullies and hollows on other aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
