Forecast Snow Stability: Small accumulations of new drifted snow will form in steepest wind sheltered Easterly aspects. Although these are not expected to be significant where any depth is achieved above 800 metres moderately bonded new snow instabilities will exist. Elsewhere the old patchy deposits will be well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Forecast Weather Influences: It will become cooler overnight with some rain showers turning to snow as the Freezing Levels lower to around 200 metres. Strong South-Westerly winds will become North Westerly by first light. Observed Weather Influences: Fluctuating temperatures with a clear to start the day; it became overcast and cooler as the day progressed. Strengthening South Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The much diminished and sparse snowpack is confined to patches only at highest elevations; these are hard re-frozen and stable. The avalanche hazard is Low
