Forecast Snow Stability: The surface of the old snowpack will refreeze in the colder conditions, and stability will be good. Fresh windslab will be deposited in wind-sheltered areas, mainly on South to West aspects above 900 metres. Accumulations are not expected to be deep or extensive. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will strengthen to become moderate to strong, and back from East-North-Easterly to North-North-Easterly during the day. Overnight the freezing level will lower from 1000 metres to 250 metres, rising to around 500 metres during the day. Light showers are expected, with the chance of more continuous light snowfall during the evening. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with light winds. The freezing level lowered to the summits during the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally well bonded and stable, continuing to slowly thaw at most levels. In many places the firm surface softened somewhat during the day. Greatest accumulations of snow are mainly on North to East aspects above 900 metres. Ice fall was observed on North aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
