In a few areas at high elevations, hard slabs to depths of five feet persist in steep avalanche terrain in cliff areas. These slabs are likely to require significant loads such as cornice drops, snow machines or multiple parties to initiate their failure. Avalanches at mid and low elevations are unlikely today.

Periods of flurries will become possible on Saturday from a weak system approaching the area. Temperatures will be slightly cooler with highs in the upper twenties. Winds are to westerly at fifteen to twenty miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Moderate above 9000 feet. A slight possibility lingers to trigger hard slabs possibly to depths of five feet in a few areas of very steep terrain in and around cliffs or rocky areas. It is likely to take large triggers such as cornice drops, snow machines or groups of people on a slope to trigger such a failure. Avalanches below 9000 feet are unlikely on Saturday.
