Kernpunkte

The snowpack is mostly stable. At upper elevations, backcountry travelers venturing into very steep avalanche prone terrain might be able to trigger isolated pockets of surface slab up to 12 inches deep. These slides would likely be small, but could pose a threat to skiers and riders in extreme terrain above cliff bands or terrain traps. Low hazard does not mean no hazard and standard backcountry protocol should still be used.

Avalanche Discussion

Northerly flow will bring a Canadian trough through Western Wyoming tonight, which may result in a light dusting of new snow. Skies will be partly cloudy on Monday. Overnight lows in the mountains will be near zero before climbing to around 10 during the day. Northwesterly to northerly ridgetop winds will range from 5 to 15 miles per hour. The snowpack is mostly stable and the General Avalanche Hazard is expected to remain LOW on Monday.
