Wet slab avalanches are possible.
As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of gliding avalanches and wet snow slides being released will increase in particular on very steep sunny slopes at elevated altitudes. Mostly they are small.
Snowpack Structure
The snowpack will become moist in all altitude zones. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise to rapid and thorough wetting of the snowpack over a wide area.
