Kernpunkte

Wet Loose avalanches will once again be possible on Sunday as the day warms up.   Relatively warm overnight temperatures mean that they could entrain more snow than they otherwise would.  Cornice Collapses will also be possible because of the warm days and warm night.

Wet loose avlanches will be a bit more likely tomorrow since we aren't forecast to get a solid freeze overnight.  This means that once daytime warming on Sunday melts any superficial refreeze we will be dealing with a greater depth of potentially unstable melted snow.  Expect slopes to soften up and get mushy faster than they normally might.

It is officially springtime.  Between now and the end of ski season all of the cornices will collapse.  Cornice collapses are most likely during prolonged warm spells, and when we don't have overnight freezing like tonight.  I generally give cornices a little extra space during this time of year.
