Below approximately 1600 m no snow is lying. At higher altitudes the avalanche danger is low (level 1).
In all regions only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. The snowpack is well consolidated and its surface has a crust that is strong in many cases, in particular between approximately 2000 and 2300 m and. In isolated cases sometimes large wind slabs formed. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on northeast to northeast to northwest facing aspects at high altitude and in gullies and bowls.
