An increase in temperatures means Loose Wet slides may occur in isolated, steep solar slopes at mid to lower elevations where enough snow exists. This will be confined to sunny aspects with solar input. Low does not mean 'No'.

Around 40-60cm at the South of the range tapering to about 20-30cm to the North. Coverage is patchy with significant pockets of wind deposited snow with very thin patches. Around 25mm of rain fell on the range on the 15/07. Expect a very frozen surface after overnight frosts.
Thursday: Showers about the divide. Turning to rain for a time in the evening with snow lowering to 1600m. Otherwise mostly cloudy. Northwest winds rising to gale in the afternoon. Freezing level 1800m.
Friday: A few showers, with snow to 1400m. Northwesterly gale easing before dawn. Freezing level 1700m lowering to 1300m in the evening.
Ice axe and Crampons will be essential if venturing out. Even ski-crampons may not be enough in some areas.
