Avalanche Activity

Small and medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming.

The conditions in the morning, after a clear night, are spring-like. As a consequence of warming and solar radiation, the avalanche activity will gradually increase. Additionally in very isolated cases avalanches can also be released in the old snowpack. Backcountry tours should be started and concluded early.

Snowpack Structure

The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded still only poorly. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak.

Tendency

Wednesday: Wind and new snow to 1500 m. The avalanche danger will increase during the day.
