Forecast Snow Stability: Good general stability in all areas. The snowpack will continue to deplete at all elevations. Residual cornices are suspect during thaw conditions. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: It will stay dry over the period, as the steady thaw prevails. The Freezing level will remain above summits throughout. Moderate South-South-Easterly airflow. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a mainly dull and cloudy day, brightening only a little as the day progressed. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle affected all elevations. The freezing level has remained above summit levels throughout. Light to moderate Southerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: Steady thaw conditions, with further snow loss noted in all locations. The majority of remaining accumulations are now confined to the upper elevations of coire backwalls, gully tops and some selected plateau locations. These, whilst moist, or wet are in the main well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
