At the upper elevations isolated pockets of shallow wind slab formed by northerly winds exist and in isolated areas on shaded aspects, pockets of dense slab up to two feet in depth could be human triggered in extreme terrain. Yesterday a skier who was hiking on a southerly aspect near the summit of Angle Mountain triggered a shallow wind slab on a steep slope. Similar events are possible today and could knock a person over and sweep them over a cliff or into steep rocky areas. Avalanches are unlikely at the mid and lower elevations.
