Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. Travel early in the day for optimal snow conditions and approach steep slopes with caution if you find warm, mushy snow surfaces. Even a small avalanche can become serious if it knocks you off your feet in consequential terrain. Evaluate the terrain above and below you before committing to snow travel in steep or extreme terrain.
