As a consequence of new snow and a strong wind from westerly directions, wind slabs formed. They represent the main danger. Dry avalanches are to be expected, in particular medium-sized ones. Additionally in some places avalanches can be released in deep layers and reach large size in isolated cases. Even single winter sport participants can release avalanches. These avalanche prone locations are to be found in all aspects above approximately 2000 m. Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for caution and restraint.

30 to 50 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, fell in the last three days. The strong wind has transported the new snow. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas and at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions a little snow is lying. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack in all aspects. At low and intermediate altitudes less snow than usual is lying.

The snowpack remains generally unfavourable.
